Over the course of his career, Vishal Grover has headed a number of San Francisco businesses, including the SYSTIME Computer Corporation and the CMS Group of Companies. Outside of his work as a San Francisco business leader, Vishal Grover supports philanthropic groups such as WildAid. The elephant populations of West and Central Africa face a major crisis in the form of illegal ivory poaching and the international ivory trade. Each year, more than 33,000 elephants are killed for their ivory. This figure is expected to rise as ivory poachers migrate to East Africa as well as a number of southern regions. Individuals can join the fight against ivory poachers by taking the WildAid Ivory Free pledge. WildAid is an international nonprofit organization committed to protecting animal populations as diverse as sharks and pangolins. In addition to refraining from the purchase or use of ivory, the WildAid Ivory Free pledge urges individuals to promote awareness about the plight of the African elephant and to engage in political activities designed to curb the global ivory trade. Individuals can take the pledge at www.wildaid.org. Website visitors also can make donations to the WildAid elephant fund, or to any of the other WildAid programs.

Vishal Grover is a San Francisco business leader who holds executive leadership positions with SYSTIME and the CMS Group of Companies. When he is not overseeing his various business endeavors, Vishal Grover plays golf at the Olympic Club in San Francisco and supports charity groups such as WildAid. WildAid is a national philanthropic organization dedicated to ending the illegal trade of wildlife. The group’s activities include but are in no way limited to the trade of shark fins, rhino horns, and ivory taken from elephant tusks. WildAid differs from similar organizations in that its efforts focus on global markets and individual consumers who allow these trading practices to remain profitable. Each year, WildAid’s message reaches more than 1 billion people. As a registered 501c(3) nonprofit organization, WildAid depends on the tax-deductible donations of its patrons. Individuals can make a one-time or recurring donation at www.wildaid.org by selecting the Donate link at the top of the screen. Donors can also decide between making a general donation to WildAid or having their contribution directed to a specific effort, such as the protection of tigers or marine area conservation efforts. WildAid recently merged with the Shark Savers nonprofit. Supporters of Shark Savers can continue to donate by selecting the shark program. |
